Nutrients Included
The ingredients in ProRenal® Kidney Supplements are meticulously selected by an expert Clinical Advisory Board. Each ingredient is based on current scientific research and evidence, ensuring they effectively support kidney health.
Vitamin C
Adequate amounts of vitamin C may benefit overall health, but excessive intake may cause kidney stones.
B-Complex Vitamins
B vitamins (vitamin B6, vitamin B12) are vitamins that people with kidney disease may be deficient in, and therefore may need supplementation. Proper supplementation is critical for people with kidney disease, as there is evidence that high doses of B vitamins may be harmful.
Calcium
Not all people with kidney disease need additional calcium. Therefore, calcium supplementation needs should be determined individually based on the advice of a doctor. Supplementation may benefit some patients by supporting heart health. People often take vitamins and cholesterol supplements containing calcium to maintain heart health, but for people with kidney disease, calcium may cause kidney stones or dangerously high blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia). 3 Excess calcium can cause kidney stones when free calcium crystals fuse together and cannot be easily excreted through urine. High levels of calcium in the blood can sometimes cause kidney damage, and severe levels can lead to permanent loss of kidney function. 4 Always discuss your calcium therapy with your doctor.

Doctor Recommended
“Patients with medical conditions such as chronic kidney disease, diabetes and heart disease have complex needs. These conditions often require dietary modifications and severe dietary restrictions. Insufficient or excessive intake of vitamins and minerals is common, and nutritional supplements formulated with specific protective measures play a helpful role in the management of these conditions.”
